FAQs

Is getting waxed painful?

Your first wax session is always the most sensitive. However, while you’re getting waxed, I will walk you through every step I am taking. The more you keep up with it every month and keep up with your post wax care, the easier it becomes. Trust the process. I promise, it’s worth it.

What do I need to do to prepare for my first wax session?

  • You need to have 2-3 weeks worth of hair growth. Is your hair growth longer than that? Please don’t trim the hair down. We will trim your hair if it is needed.

  • Be sure to drink a lot of water prior to your session. Stay away from caffeine for 24-48 hrs prior to your session.

  • Gently exfoliate with a body scrub the day before your wax session. Do not exfoliate the day of.

  • Moisturizing is a very important step. This will help keep your skin and hair growth hydrated for your wax session, hopefully making it less painful.

  • Arrive 5-10 minutes early to avoid confusion finding us and avoiding cancellation/no show fees.

  • Wear loose clothing to your wax session. Wearing tight clothing post wax can add extra, unnecessary irritation.

Is there a regimen to follow after I get waxed?

Yes! It’s my favorite thing to educate you on.
Here are a couple tips:

  • Exfoliate with Hylunia Grape Seed Scrub

  • Moisturize and protect against ingrowns with Fur oil

  • Drink a lot of water

  • DO NOT PICK AT YOUR SKIN

Can I get waxed during that time of the month?*

The short answer is YES. As long as you are using a new tampon or menstrual cup, you are more than okay to get waxed. Keep in mind that you will be slightly more sensitive during that wax session so make sure you are drinking plenty of water.

*Please understand that any cancellations within 24 hrs prior to your session due to your monthly cycle will result in a 50% charge of the service(s) you have scheduled.
